Great Art Experiences with a Great Instructor
Learn how to paint with fast-drying, water-soluble, acrylic paints! Former professor of art, Joy Kloman will teach you methods of applying paint, how to mix and use color, and how to create an exciting composition. You will learn to work from still-life materials, as well as abstractly. Open to all levels.
What You'll Need To Bring
Bring primed canvases or surfaces, photographs, 2 long-handle brushes: round and flat, palette, plastic container for water, paper towels, acrylic paints: titanium white, alizarin crimson, pthalo blue, lemon yellow, and any painting supplies you have to the first class. Other supplies may be needed later. Bella’s Beads in Hood River should have all of the art supplies needed. Easels are provided by the Art Center.
About the Instructor
Joy Kloman was a tenured, associate professor of art and painting at the University of Mississippi, Oxford. She earned her M.F.A. degree from the University of Florida and her B.F.A. degree from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her paintings and prints are in private and public collections, including the Ringling Museum of Art and the Gulf Coast Museum of Art, both in Florida. Dates / Times / Cost
Class will start October 29th. There will be four sessions running Wednesdays Oct 29, Nov 5, 12 and 19, 6:30-8:30pm.
Cost is $60 for all 4 classes.
