Leave a Legacy

Name Columbia Center for the Arts in Your Will.

The Columbia Center for the Arts is one of those rare opportunities that comes once in a lifetime for non-profits.  What started out as simply finding a new home for CAST and the Columbia Art Gallery, has evolved into the opportunity to create a cultural destination that serves the entire Columbia Gorge community --- as well as an opportunity to promote and coordinate art activities throughout the region.

After purchasing the former American Legion in the heart of historic downtown Hood River, there is now a state-of-the-art facility that begs to be sustained into the future.

The most profound and effective means of benefiting Columbia Arts is to name it as a beneficiary in your will.  Insertion of the follow language into your will provides funds that will directly sustain the organization into the future.  You can specify a dollar amount, certain assets, or a percentage of your estate.

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Columbia Center for the Arts, a nonprofit Oregon corporation with business address of P.O. Box 1543, Hood River, OR 97031 or its successor, the sum of___________dollars (or otherwise describe the gift or assets) for its general purposes and use at the discretion of Columbia Center for the Arts.”

“Creating is the greatest proof of being alive” and we have created something exciting in the Gorge.   To “sustain” this wonderful creation, support is critical and you can help to establish a legacy.  We have recently set up Columbia Arts Endowment Fund and the funds donated will be managed by the Oregon Community Foundation.  They currently manage $880 million dollars and have been managing money for their Agency Partners for 32 years.

If you would like to provide a gift from your estate, be it now or in the future, please contact Judie Hanel at 541-386-6221 and she will be glad to answer any questions, you might have.
