Come to this fun-filled class in puppetry with master puppet artist, Kara Sisk. Students will develop a character from a story or their imagination as the model for their rod puppet. Puppets will be constructed of self-hardening clay, painted and costumed. Upon completion students will practice manipulation of their puppet.
Student work from the second session will be part of the First Friday Art Show at Columbia Center for the Arts on August 3rd.

Students will explore character development while immersed in the history of puppetry. They will construct a small marionette using their choice of self-hardening clay, wood or paper mache. Puppets will be painted and costumed. Master puppet artist, Kara Sisk, who studied in marionette construction in Prague will guide them in this amazing class.
