Refreshing Twists on a Traditional Theme

April 2 - May 2

Innovation, unexpected combinations, unusual materials, and color are the hallmarks of the Fiber Art Now art show. 14 artists from Oregon and Washington participating .... includes a wide range of art from whimsical jewelry made with felt and silver, to improvisational quilting made from torch-cut steel and fabric.

Rainbow Dance Theater has a unique modern dance repertory that incorporates a variety of styles, resulting in a theatrical tour-de-force of high-power dancing and striking visual effects. Also performing will be special guest guests from the Columbia Gorge Dance Academy, along with Kaitlin Bauld, formerly of Hood River, and now apprenticing with the Rainbow Dance Theater.

FOUR EVENTS, Two at Columbia Center for the Arts: The cathartic nature of writing; the healing influenes of music therapy; theater as a part of community understanding and action; performance theater as a healing agent.

Helping Hands Against Violence will be partnering with Columbia Center for the Arts in this production.

June 3, 4, 5, 6

The world tour of The Vagina Monologues initiated V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women. After many requests and ‘sold out’ houses in 2007, Director Judie Hanel will bring this exciting show to the Gorge for a second time. Debra Jones will be the producer.
