60 works of art from 38 artists as far away as New York and Texas are included in this show ... the first of its kind at Columbia Center for the Arts! Roughly half of them come from outside the Pacific Northwest — from Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, New York, and Texas!

This interactive show will entertain as well as engage the audience in searching for solutions to vexing social problems. The first part of the show featuring Calen Morelli, illusionist, will be for all ages. The second part will be more discretionary due to sexual issues and dating violence content.

Shining Spirit, filmed in Canada, India and Tibet (2006-2009) documents a recording project that brings together the family of Jamyang Yeshi, through music and the use of multi-tracking recording technology. Shining Spirit is a testament to the power of music, the resilience of the Tibetan culture, and the enduring bond of a family separated by politics and geography.

Touring with the Banff Film Festival en route to Telluride Film Festival & Monaco.

Helping Hands Against Violence will be partnering with Columbia Center for the Arts in this production.

June 3, 4, 5, 6

The world tour of The Vagina Monologues initiated V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women. After many requests and ‘sold out’ houses in 2007, Director Judie Hanel will bring this exciting show to the Gorge for a second time. Debra Jones will be the producer.

Tour the Gorge - Meet the Artists!

Don't miss this chance to tour the Columbia Gorge National Scenic area and meet 34 artists who make the Gorge their home. See where the artists live and work, and learn how and why they make art.

Artists of all stripes will open their studios to share their creative processes and the fruits of their labors. Photographers, painters, sculptors, fabric artists, woodworkers, guitar builders and jewelers from Stevenson to Goldendale will show work and discuss their working methods.


You $25 ticket includes a full-color Tour Guide that admits you and a friend or spouse to all 34 studios for the entire weekend.

Columbia Center for the Arts, located in the heart of Oregon's National Scenic Area, is now accepting artist applications for its annual Pacific Northwest Plein Air event. Award-winning plein air painter and instructor, Ned Mueller from Renton, WA, will be the juror again this year, and will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.


Now in its 6th year, Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2010, has grown each year both in size and in number of works sold.

Presented by Missoula Children's Theatre in Missoula, Montana, the nation's largest touring children's theatre.An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Westside School in Hood River from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Auditions for Same Time Next Year

Auditions for this October production will be held June 26 & 27 at 2pm at Columbia Center for the Arts. There are only two characters, New Jersey accountant George and California housewife Doris, who first appear in their mid-20s to mid-30s and age based on the 24 year span of time the play covers.
