Our public drawing sessions are a prefect way to keep your creative skills fresh. All skill levels are welcome.
We are currently offering two open studio drawing options which meet on a weekly basis.
PLEASE NOTE: Dates and times subject to change, so we recommend you contact the event coordinator or call Columbia Center for the Arts to find out the most up-to-date information.

Portrait Model Open Studio

COST
$10 per artist
DETAILS
Long pose (20 minutes on, 5 minutes break, etc.); clothed model
Enter the studio via the orange door on Cascade; it is about ½ a block east of the main gallery entrance.

Life Drawing Model Sessions

COST
$12 per artist
DETAILS
Poses vary in length; nude model The usual format is:
- One and two-minute poses (20 min), followed by a five-minute break
- Five 5-minute poses (25 min), followed by a five-minute break
- Two 10-minute poses (20 min), followed by a 10-minute break
- 20-minute poses interspersed with 5 minute breaks to the end of the session

GUIDELINES FOR ARTISTS
- For oil painters, please use odorless mineral spirits, preferably Gamsol; please, no turpentine.
- Pastels are welcome; please be cautious about blowing the dust.
- Please do not photograph the model without permission. This should be discussed with the model privately, on a break or after session.
