Join some of Hood River’s most prestigious Plein Air painters for a catered train excursion from Hood River to Parkdale, Oregon where Plein Air artists will set up easels and capture the moment on canvas right before your eyes.

Upon your return, visit the Columbia Art Gallery for a wine reception and a special viewing of the 5th annual Plein Air Show featuring award winning works by various Northwest artists.

 

The Hood River Valley is paradise for Plein Air landscape painting. Snowcapped Mt. Hood dominates the idyllic fruit orchards and vineyards and thick stands of old growth forest cling fiercely to the mountain’s rugged flanks.

Brunch train to Parkdale, 11:30pm-4:30pm. Artists in the park during the 1 hour layover, followed by showing at Columbia Center for the Arts Plein Air Exhibit from 5:00-6:00pm.
