25th Anniversary Celebratin of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

Columbia Center for the Arts and Waucoma Bookstore are proud to present the kickoff event for the 25th Anniversary of Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Celebration on May 24th, 2011.

The event begins with a reception and book signing at 6:30 pm with Peter Marbach and Janet Cook.

At 7:00 pm Peter and Janet will be presenting a slideshow and lecture presentation surrounding their new book: Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition.

Kevin Gorman, Executive Director of Friends of the Gorge will speak as well as a representative from Trust for Public Lands, the book’s title sponsor.

Jane Jacobson, chair of the 25th Anniversary Celebration and executive director of the Confluence Project will be Emcee for the evening and will be announcing the plans and events for the summer long celebration.

Peter and Janet will be available for book signing and all speakers will be available for a question and answer period following the presentation.
