Synopsis

Ester's mother is pushing her to accept her lot as one of the mysterious A.B.S. Ester doesn't want to be in the A.B.S, she just wants to go to middle school and be a normal kid. But Ester can never be a normal kid. Her mother doesn't understand how difficult life is for Ester. Grace, a perky cheerleader, wants to understand and be her friend, but Ester is afraid to trust her with her secret. Ester tries to avoid Grace, but Madam Vladimer, the strange culinary arts teacher, interferes and forces them together. Grace and Ester have to complete a cooking project on the same night the A.B.S show up to claim Ester as one of their own. Grace discovers what Ester has spent her whole life hiding and Ester's world comes crashing down around her. By not trusting Grace, she has endangered Grace's life, as well as her own. Grace and Ester must work together to save themselves and defeat the A.B.S.
