Synopsis

During a blistering hot summer in the neighborhood of North Hills, a young man (Orson Chaplin) finds himself running away from the consequences of a situation that has careened dangerously out of control. Desperate and exhausted, he forces his way into a random apartment for refuge, holding the apartment’s owner–a lonely schoolteacher (Ilka Urbach)–hostage. When she begins to figure out what it is that he’s running from, his desperation explodes in a way that neither were expecting, leaving the woman shaken and confused. In her state of vulnerability, the teacher later reaches out to a loved one for comfort but fails to overcome her old patterns of behavior.
