Columbia Center for the Arts

Auditions for the October production at the Columbia Center for the Arts, "Same Time Next Year," will be held June 26 and 27, 2010, starting at 2 p.m. at the CCA theater.
About Same Time Next Year
Same Time Next Year is a comedy by Bernard Slade about two married people who meet on vacation and have a one-night stand--and then agree to meet once a year at the same time, in the same place.
Over the course of the next 24 years, they
develop an emotional intimacy deeper than you would expect to find between
two people meeting for a clandestine relationship just once a year. During
the time they spend with each other, they deal with ups and downs, the
comedy and drama, the births, deaths, and marital problems each is experiencing
at home even as their own relationship evolves.
The play was made into a movie starring Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn in 1978.
Characters
Needed
There are only two characters, New Jersey accountant George and California housewife Doris, who first appear in their mid-20s to mid-30s and age appropriately during the course of the play.
