Join Judie Hanel and Kate Mills on Columbia Art’s 5th annual trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon, departing on Saturday, April 21st, 2011 and returning Monday, April 23rd by coach.

About the Trip
Upon arrival you’ll be greeted at the Ashland Springs Hotel for your two night stay. Saturday evening you’ll attend Opening Night of Medea/Macbeth/Cinderella from the plays of Euripides, Shakespeare and Rodgers & Hammerstein. You know these three plays from two millennia of populist theatre – Greek tragedy, Elizabethan drama and American musical comedy. Surely to be a crowd pleaser.
Sunday morning you’ll awake to a beautiful continental breakfast and at 10:30am we will gather for a Discussion with a company member involved in one of the shows on our agenda. Our afternoon show begins at 1:30 – Animal Crackers – book by George S. Kaufman & Morrie Ryskind. High jinks meet high society when the skirt chasing Captain Spaulding and his cronies mix it up with social climbers and stolen paintings. This show has brought ‘rave reviews’ in Regional theatres around the country.
Our final show Sunday evening AT 8:30PM is Romeo and Juliet by Wm. Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s consummate tragedy about young lovers swept into a catastrophic vortex of misunderstandings, secrets and fate.
