As an avid cyclist and hiker, I spend a lot of time immersed in the beauty and grandeur that continues to awe and inspire me, whether I’m painting on location or in my studio at home.
My paintings reflect many of the places I have fallen deeply in love with; places rich with experiences that connect me to the wilderness. When I paint I can smell the coffee percolating from my campsite, hear water splashing down the creek. I can remember the past few days when I was struggling across the mountain pass that I am now standing in front of sketch book in hand.
From the granite cliffs of the Sierra and the mountain tops of Nepal, to Oregon’s high desert, to the crystal clear lakes, rivers and creeks surrounding me at home in Oregon, I’m discovering how to capture a moment in time.
