Artist Talk: Art a Day

Artist Talk: Art a Day

How do artists conceive their ideas and create their work? Area artists will discuss these topics and more, while sharing their artwork at an Artists’ Talk at Columbia Center for the Arts on Tuesday, August 14 at 1:15pm.

“We find that Gallery visitors are always interested in the story behind the art, how the art is created, and how artists turn their ideas into works of art,” says CCA Gallery Manager Carolyn Smith. “Hearing these artists talk about their work and process is a fascinating way to learn more about art and creativity, and so we have designed these artist presentations to help all of us better understand art.”

Several artists will be presenting, including poet Audrey Mlakar, 2-dimentional artists Mark Nilsson, Audrey Mlakar, Liz Walker, and Steven Christian. All are presenting artists featured in the Gallery’s August Exhibition “Art-a-Day” in which artists create 30 pieces of work in sequence.
