Summer Arts Camps: Creature Dioramas

August 14-17, 9am-Noon
Instructor: Rene Westbrook
Ages: 9-12 years
Tuition: $100, includes materials

 

Kids will create a small-scale sculpture and a habitat for that creature to live in during this fun, mixed-media diorama project.  Students will have the chance to play with a variety of materials and processes including fabrication and construction of the diorama, drawing, papier mache, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpting, and found object assemblage, resulting in an elaborate and fun finished piece of art!

Space is limited to 12 students (minimum 6); register early! Contact the artist with questions here.

Please note that snacks will NOT be provided by Columbia Arts or the Instructor for this series. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for this three-hour workshop.
