Synopsis of the Play

A stranded aviator comes across a mysterious little prince in the middle of the Sahara Desert. As the aviator pieces together the story of The Little Prince’s journey, he comes to a new understanding of how we relate to each other and learns that what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Audition Info
4 to 10 actors (some doublecasting possible depending on turnout)

  • The Little Prince – A young boy who fell from the sky. 8-12 yo, could be played by someone a little older if they are youthful.
  • Rose/Snake – Flexible. Listed as adult females, will consider most auditioners. Possibly doublecast. Represent complicated relationships and the lessons learned in them.
  • Adults on planets – Several adult men or women, each in their own little world with their own very important business.
  • Fox – Flexible. Listed as adult male, will consider most auditioners. Represents a warm new friendship and the work that goes into one.
