Seeing the Gorge Through a Writer’s Eye
Columbia Art’s Writing Up the Gorge Project Brings Writers the Columbia Gorge
August 19-25, 2018
Columbia Center for the Arts is pleased to bring back their annual literary event Writing Up the Gorge. This week-long event brings writers to the Gorge where they visit six different Write Up locations throughout the area. This year, the locations are Cathedral Ridge, Cor Cellars, Husum Bed and Breakfast, Gorge White House, Sakura Ridge and a few secret outdoor locations offering beautiful venues for contemplation and writing. Writers can visit most locations during regular business hours and Writers’ Bags will include directions & info.
Writing Up the Gorge culminates in a display of the writers’ work as part of Columbia Arts’ September Gallery Exhibition Talk of the Town, and a display during the annual Hood River Word’s Fair October 26-28.
Registration is now open for writers to attend the workshop and gathering. Registration information is available here and the fee is $25/person. Amateur and professional writers are all welcome to attend. Registration closes August 10th at Noon and the workshop is limited to 25 participants.
