  • Help with filing, envelope stuffing, and light computer work. As a receptionist you will work at the front desk, assisting visitors and artists and answering the phone. Daytime hours only.
  • There is always a need for help with repairs around the building. These jobs are intermittent and are on an on-call basis.
  • Help keep our database up to date by inputting updated addresses, mail merge files, etc. Knowledge of Excel and database manipulation helpful.
  • Help to distribute flyers, posters, etc. around the area.
  • Help us schedule volunteers to be at the Center before a reception or show. Coordinate with volunteers to make sure all table service, flowers, and food is in place on time. The Theater Manager or Show Curator will send any special needs/requests before an event to the person holding this coordinator position.
  • If you like to help create a lovely party, you’ll love volunteering for a Center event. You may be asked by the event coordinator to do one or more of the following: • Prepare appetizers and/or sweets and bring them to the Center before an event. • Provide fresh flowers for the event. • Keep trays fresh, the service table or area clean, and coffee/tea refilled at the event. (Training in food service and handling is helpful.) • Serve on ‘kitchen patrol’ by helping clean up after an event.
  • Set up and take down the bar and serve beverages for a variety of events. An OLCC license may be required.
  • Come one hour before the performance to serve as an usher. Watch the show with your free admission to the performance, and then stay for light housekeeping duties after the show.
  • Interested in the magic behind the scenes? We are always looking for backstage ninjas and people with interest in lighting and sound. Run lights for a play, sound for a concert or dance performance, operate the projection system, or be a part of the stage crew. You will be called on a per-show basis as spots are available
  • Help with retail sales in our Gallery. For this position, volunteers will be expected to learn about the artists involved in each show in order to speak with customers about the art and make sales. Also includes light housekeeping.
  • Assist with hanging and taking down our monthly art exhibitions on an as-needed basis.
  • Our teachers sometimes need help preparing materials and working with children during our children’s art classes. If you have experience with children and are familiar with art materials, your help will be much appreciated.
