National Theatre Live Amazes Every Time
For the past year, we have been showing at CCA performances of live plays from the National Theatre Live in London. These plays feature some of the world’s best theatre actors, directors, set designers, costumers, and playwrights in world, and the performances are broadcast live via satellite from the best theatres in London. If you haven’t yet experienced NT Live here at the Art Center, we encourage you to come and see these fabulous plays.
Spellbinding is the word I find most appropriate for explaining the excitement of seeing these spectacular performances. Watching Helen Mirren perform as Queen Elizabeth, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen spar as old friends with a secret, Danial Radcliff in the Tom Stoppard classic Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and Benedict Cumberbatch & Jonny Lee Miller perform in the two-actor version of Frankenstein (each performing as the doctor and the monster in two incredible performances), all while sitting in the CCA Theatre right here in Hood River–these are experiences not to be missed.
The slate of plays for the coming months have been secured, and we are excited to share with you this wonderful line-up of performances:
- June 17 @ 1pm —Julius Caesar
- July 15 @ 1pm—Hamlet
