Gorge Wellness Alliance Film – Cultivate: Compassion

Gorge Wellness Alliance Film – Cultivate: Compassion

Gorge Wellness Alliance – Film screening of Cultivate: Compassion

Sunday, October 6, 4-6pm

This film explores the complex relationship and impact of mental health and substance abuse issues. Both are very common in the Gorge, but many people still fear speaking about them, due to stigma.  A recent survey showed that one in three adults and one in four youth in the region has a mental health condition. The goal of this documentary is to reduce stigma surrounding these common issues, get people talking to one another in a compassionate way, and encourage people to get help if they need it. The mini documentary was filmed and produced by professional filmmaker Michael Coen of CoenFilm.
Please join representatives of the Gorge Wellness Alliance and participants in the documentary-making process. This event is sponsored by One Community Health and Skamania County Community Health.

This event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 3:45.
