Summer Arts Camps: Painting Exploration

Summer Arts Camps: Painting Exploration

August 14-17, 1-4pm
Instructor: Rene Westbrook
Ages: 9-12 years
Tuition: $100, includes materials

In this workshop, kids will have the opportunity to experiment with watercolors and acrylic paints, learning a variety of techniques and tricks of the trade.  After playing with the materials and learning formal considerations such as composition, color theory, and perspective, each student will design and finish one painting and a frame to bring home.  Plan to push the materials to their limits in this fun exploratory class.

Space is limited to 12 students (minimum 6); register early! Contact the artist with questions here.

Please note that snacks will NOT be provided by Columbia Arts or the Instructor for this series. Parents are welcome to send students with non-refrigerated food and drink for this three-hour workshop.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
