About the Film...
This powerful independent documentary follows the lives of women in adventure sports—sharing stories that challenge stereotypes, confront systemic barriers, and foster connection across cultures. Directed by Czech filmmaker Honza Považan and produced by Hood River local Alena Rainsberry, along with Denisa Krásná (Czech Republic) and Grace Gorman (Canada), Flow blends breathtaking cinematography with intimate storytelling, following women in sports such as whitewater kayaking, climbing, and highlining.
To celebrate the world premiere, creators and co-producers Alena Rainsberry and Denisa Krásná will present the film in person! Their book Flow: Women’s Counternarratives from Rivers, Rock, and Sky will be available for purchase from local bookseller Waucoma Books.
