About

Printmaking takes many forms, from relief and intaglio to screenprint, lithography, and monotype. What they share is the act of making an impression, moving an image from one surface to another. It’s also the kind of mark a good piece of art leaves on the people who see it. That double meaning is where this show gets its name, and it’s the spirit behind our new studio.

However it’s made, printmaking rewards patience. You prepare a surface, work the ink, and pull the print, and a lot of the time you don’t really know how it turned out until you see it come off the press. That moment is a big part of why people love the medium, and we think it’s worth celebrating.
