Live Radio Show

Columbia Arts presents CAST Theatre’s productions of Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon. We are bringing the golden age of radio back to life again with a live radio show, complete with foley sounds and studio audience participation. Actors will portray characters from the 1940s working for a local radio station. Not only will our “live studio audience” enjoy the show each night, but folks listening at home will also be delighted by the sound effects, interludes, and diverse accents of the radio show.

In The Maltese Falcon, gritty gumshoe Sam Spade finds himself tangled in a web of lies. The beautiful spider, Brigid, will stop at nothing to find the priceless relic shrouded in mystery, intrigue, and deceit leaving murder in it’s wake. Casablanca is “The City of Hope and Despair.” The meeting place of adventurers, fugitives, criminals and refugees, lured to this danger-swept oasis by the hope of escape to the Americas. Within this fascinating and intriguing land lurks the story of an imperishable love and the enthralling saga of six desperate people, each in Casablanca to keep an appointment with destiny.
