About the Play
Set in a small Missouri town, Book of Days follows Ruth, a young woman investigating the suspicious death of a local business owner, even as she’s cast as Joan of Arc in a community theatre production of Saint Joan. As Ruth pushes for answers, she collides with the town’s power structures, secrets, and denial.
The play is a gripping mystery and a sharp portrait of small-town life, faith, apathy, and the search for truth.
Casting
We are seeking a cast of 5 women and 7 men, with character ages roughly 30s to 70s (many roles are flexible).
