About the Play:
Love in 4/4 Time is a deeply moving story of transition—of love evolving through the unexpected challenges of memory loss. Set within a memory care facility, the play highlights two couples navigating the shifting terrain of identity, partnership, and devotion.
Roles:
Carol – Senior. Ted’s wife. Vivacious, bubbly, and capable.
Ted – Senior. Carol’s husband. A memory care resident, still carrying humor and warmth despite his dementia.
Alice – Senior. Bob’s wife. Caring, loyal, and grounded.
Bob – Senior. Alice’s husband. Loving, thoughtful, and strong.
Multiple Roles (Male) – Appears in a variety of supporting parts, including a waiter and a memory care director.
Note: Bob and Carol are the central characters. Ted and Alice are integral with more limited dialogue. The story honors all characters as they move through profound emotional terrain with humor, grace, and humanity.
