FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I MAKE OR CHANGE OUR RESERVATION?
Booking a field trip is easy: simply complete the booking form below and CCA staff will get back to you with confirmation or waitlist status. Field trips require a minimum of ten tickets in a reservation - smaller groups can contact us if this is a limitation. (Note that form submission does not guarantee your reservation). To make changes to your reservation, email tim@columbiaarts.org.
CAN THE GENERAL PUBLIC ATTEND A SCHOOL MATINEE?
No, our priority is to serve student groups with the matinee program. If there are seats available on the day of show, we may be able to accommodate public sales at the door.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
Ticket prices vary by production and are generally much less than public performances. See a specific show for registration pricing.
PAYMENT TERMS
Final payments are due 30 days prior to the event date. We are not currently requiring deposits to hold your group reservation, but appreciate communication as early as possible if your plans change to ensure we can accommodate other schools.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS
Changes to ticket numbers are allowed up until your final payment, due 30 days prior to your show. No changes or cancellations will be allowed past this due date. For groups added from the waitlist, this timeline may be condensed and we’ll work with schools on terms.
If we have not received your payment or heard from you by the final payment date, your tickets may be released and given to a school on our waitlist. If you need more time to pay for your school’s tickets we are happy to work with you; please contact us directly at tim@columbiaarts.org
If you cancel less than one month prior, your school will still be responsible for the amount due since we will not have adequate time to re-book your tickets and those seats may go unused. Thank you for your understanding.
TRANSPORTATION
CCA does NOT arrange for transportation to field trips; this responsibility must be managed by the school. Please note that many bussing companies book quickly and we recommend contacting them prior to your two-week confirmation date. We will assist with the loading and unload of buses outside of the center.
SEATING ASSIGNMENTS
Seating is assigned by CCA staff on a first-reserved basis, with the goal of keeping groups together and accommodating accessibility needs. CCA staff will help your group to your seats on the day of the performance.
